Beach Volleyball is known as the pioneer sport of beach sports. As beach volleyball took over the beaches around the world other sand sports became popular: Beach Soccer as well as Beach Handball, Beach Basketball, Beach Badminton and Beach Tennis. Playing sports in the sand is now so popular, that Beach Sport-Centers in large cities are established in- and outdoors, or in special sport halls.
